N Street Village Premiering on the Big Screen

banner_Docs14_300x250One evening back in April 2012, residents living in N Street Village’s Recovery Housing program took to The Kennedy Center stage and shared their harrowing true-life stories in a sold out, one-night-only Theatre Lab Life Stories performance.

The entire creative process was filmed by Nicole Boxer (producer of the Academy Award-nominated documentary The Invisible War) and turned into the documentary film, How I Got Over, which chronicles the journey of 15 formerly homeless women, living in our Recovery Housing program, as they turned their collective life experiences into an original play.

Our community is thrilled to share that the documentary film will premiere at AFI DOCS Documentary Festival on June 21 and 22 in Washington, D.C. with tickets going on sale on Monday, June 2 at http://www.afi.com/afidocs/.

Tickets are guaranteed to sell out-so mark your calendars for June 2 and get your tickets while they are available. We look forward to seeing you there!
