A Community That Walks Strong Together

Post-Walk EmailThis past Saturday, nearly 200 people joined our Walk Captains – Alberta, Carlita, and Mary Virginia – for N Street Village Strong: A Community Walk and over a thousand others were with us in spirit as virtual walkers. Kicking the early morning off with breakfast and a group stretch, we then set off for a three-mile walk along the 14th Street and Logan Circle corridor where we were cheered on by volunteers and residents of our two remote housing sites, Miriam’s House and Erna’s House.  We are especially grateful to all of our walkers and sponsors for making this such a great event.

One more step to take…
We still need 253 walkers to reach our walker goal so that we can receive a huge incentive bonus from Fannie Mae. We have launched a Close the Gap Virtual Walk  and are asking each of you to spread the word and to consider registering today. Even if you walked (in-person or virtually) on October 19, you can count as a walker again!

Together, we are N Street Village Strong.

Please join our team and help us reach our goal by Friday, November 1.

Enjoy a video reflection from the day and photos on our Facebook page.
