Ilana’s In-Kind Corner | Make a Difference and Donate

Thanks to everyone who checked out my first In-Kind Corner post and collected light bulbs for our community.  N Street Village offers support to over 60% of our city’s homeless women and we rely on donated items to serve our clients and to keep our operating budget as low as possible.  So how can you help us this week?

This week’s current need – sugar-free cough drops and Dayquil cold and flu!

In preparation for cold and flu season, our Wellness Center is working to stock its shelves in order to meet the needs of our clients and residents.  Our Wellness Center is currently in need of sugar-free cough drops and bottles of Dayquil to distribute to our drop-in clients and six residential programs.  Wellness Center Manager Sharon Watkins estimates that the Wellness Center distributes over 10 bags of cough drops a month and about 10 bottles of Dayquil can last our community over three months. Our stock is getting low and we need your support to ensure that we are able to continue to meet our community’s needs.

Please consider running a drive at your school, place of worship, or workplace and help us stock up the Wellness Center shelves.  Please contact me with any questions and to schedule a drop off appointment.  I am looking forward to working with you.
